The DNS is short name of Domain Name Server or Service or System. It is an Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses, because domain names are the web addresses of a site that a human can easily remembers but web browser does not. Therefore, web browser uses the DNS service to translate the name into the corresponding IP address.
