Panasonic HDC-DX1 DVD camcorder From Panasonic
Panasonic has rolled out yet another video camera, this time though its a DVD camcorder in the form of HDC-DX1. It makes use of 8-cm DVD discs and also is multi-format compatibility camcorder supporting DVD-RAM/-R/-RW and DVD-R double-layer (DL) discs.

The DX1 makes use of the highly acclaimed 3CCD sensor, designed particularly for HD shooting and provides a higher color resolution, which is twice the resolution you would find in any of the conventional sensors. With the high-speed HD signal processor, you can achieve high-quality HD recording and the HD crystal engine processes images twice as quickly as progressive scan CCDs. It also features a 5.1-channel surround sound with five microphones, making you feel like you are truly a part of the scene.
The DX1 also supports AVCHD format and makes use of the newly developed LSI to implement the MPEG4 AVC/H.264 technology used in the AVCHD format. It includes the proprietary Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.), an image stabilizer technology that corrects blurring caused by hand-shake without compromising the image quality and thereby ensuring great images even when there is an unintended hand-shakes while shooting.
